In 1978, a thirty-six year old Lois Stone saw a dream come true when she turned the key to the doors of this building. With Ted by her side and six kids in tow, she walked through these doors to begin a remarkable journey. Stone's Countryside Tavern was born. Over the next four plus decades, this journey dramatically expanded not only the business, but her family as well. Those who worked within the building and those who patronized it, always had a seat at her holiday dinner table. Lois's legacy continues today with Dan and Valerie. A legacy of humility, great customer service and quality food.

We are still open for business! – NYSDOT closed Buffalo Rd. in Riga between Bromley Rd. & Percy Rd. We’re located in the center of this road closure. You can still drive to the Tavern on rt. 33 from Churchville. If coming from North Chili, take a left on Percy and a right on Bromley and come up rt. 33.
